This winter in Iowa has been one of the longest ever. We have had more snow than we've had in over 20 years and a lot of the bad weather happened on the weekends, which just made for more cabin fever. When we were in the depths of it, I thought forward to Spring Breaking really wishing we could do something fun. A beach sounded fantastic, but it wasn't in the cards with our budget. Instead, we looked at Google Maps, drug southward from Iowa, and landed on Branson. Neither of us had ever been to Branson before, but we figured being 6 hours south, it had to be a little warmer than we would be in March and so we booked three nights in a hotel with a water park and called it a trip!

We got some more snow last week, ugh, but Calvin and I had a fun time scooping off the garage. Since this pictures, the temps have risen and it's rained, so the snow piles in our front yard that used to be multiple feet high are almost gone! BUT some areas of our state and surrounding are experiencing flooding. I'm praying it doesn't cause too much damage.

Ok, ok, that title is saying a lot. But it's the truth for two reasons! Read on to find out more!

Today, I'm taking about SeneGence VolumeIntense Mascara and UnderSense 3-in-1 Primer! If you're looking for mascara that will make your eyes pop, these are the products for you!

It's time again to round up my Amazon purchases from this past month! This month it was a lot of random things. I'm not sure if I'll order much in March because I want to save money for Spring Break! Check out all I got below:

Last Friday the older two had the day off school so we took them out to Hu Hot. If they'd ever been there it had been a long time and Henry thought it was amazing!

Russ and I had a date night last Friday. We went to one of our favorite local places and then curled up and watched a movie at home. It was so nice.

Saturday morning I was filming a video for my business and Calvin needed help with something. I asked Henry to help him, and then I came out later and found this! "But mom, there was just a little juice left in the bottle." Whatever works, right?

I was thinking about this blog as a whole the other day and just reflecting on where I started and where I am now. Blogging is not a full time gig for me, and some days I just want to get back to the simplistic roots I had when I started this blog almost 6 years ago! Over the past 6 years I have written over 300 fashion related posts, and over 1000 posts total. That's kind of crazy! Today I wanted to bring it back to my roots and do a What I Wore Wednesday round up. I used to do this every week, and I think I need to bring it back. Probably not every week, but more often for sure. So, here is a round up of some outfits I've worn from the new year until now. Hopefully this will give you a little inspiration!

Friday Night Henry had his birthday party with friends at a local place called the Old School Arcade. The boys had unlimited play time for almost 2 hours and had a blast!

It's time again to round up my Amazon purchases from this past month! This month I took advantage of the free shipping and free returns on some clothing items, because trying on things at home is so much easier! I also got a robot mop! Yep, you heard it right! Check out all I got below:

Last Friday night was our elementary's night at the high school basketball game. At half time the kids could come out and shoot a basket. Henry made his and we got a coupon for a free large pizza and pop!

We had a lot of time at home this week. We got out of school early Friday for weather, had no school Monday for MLK Day, got out of school early on Tuesday for weather, AND had a full snow day on Wednesday. We did a lot of baking and making. Calvin REALLY wanted to help put the banana muffins we made on Friday into the tins. I gave into the mess, and he loved it.

I'm excited to share my second piece from P!phany today! P!phany is a direct sales clothing line that you can purchase through distributors.

We finally got a good snow last weekend! It was not super cold either, so we could get out and play!

I'm super excited to share a great work outfit with you today. Sometimes it is so hard to get dressed for work in the winter because it's so cold, but today's outfit is great for Iowa this time of year and was comfy all day at school as well.

Friday night we took the boys out on a "date" to Dumpling Darling. It's a place in downtown Des Moines that makes steamed and fried dumplings. It was fun to have a chance of scenery and Henry loved the food, Wesley liked the food (the mac and cheese fried dumpling and rice), and Calvin ate Goldfish Crackers.

Rounding up my Amazon purchases this month, I ordered a lot of things - and none of these were Christmas gifts! I've wanted to totally redo our bedroom, so this month I used a bit of my SeneGence income to make it happen. I didn't purchase everything for the redo on Amazon, but I did purchase the main furniture pieces and some accessories.
