Does anyone else feel like their bedroom is a neglected space? Ours was becoming that, so I decided to change it up a little bit. I didn't want to spend too much as we're planning on changing rooms in less than a year once Calvin gets a little older.

Happy Friday! Della at Della Devoted, Katie at Cup of Tea, Tif at Bright on a Budget, and I want to welcome you to High Five for Friday! Each week we share the best parts of the week and hope you'll join us!

We took our yearly trip to The Pumpkin Ranch. Every year the boys have a blast and this year was just the same. Wesley got brave and tried the zip line. Calvin was all business and just wanted to go pick his pumpkin!

I've really been working on self-care as life gets busy, but sometimes the biggest feat is actually scheduling the appointment. Especially with eye exams, since I wear contacts, I usually wait until I'm on my second to last pair in the box to see if I can find an exam time. So many times I forget to call and cut it close, so when I saw that Target Optical® allowed online booking, I was so excited! Plus, it's Target! I can shop for fall decor AND get my eyes checked in one place? Sign me up!

I've talked about letting go of control a little bit as a mom recently and embracing your kiddos for who they are, and I'm realizing that perfectionism often carries over into the holidays. I want the perfect holiday card. The perfect picture. And really, it doesn't always embrace the feelings of the season. This year, I'm partnering with Ben the Rooster for our cards. If you've been around here, you may have heard me talk about Ben before or seen me mention him on Instagram. Ben the Rooster is a children's pen pal service

I spent the weekend in Tulsa Oklahoma at the SeneGence Leaders Conference. It was so fun and I learned so much that will help me personally, in my business, and leading my team! If you would have asked me a year ago if I would be there this year, I would have told you no way, but this year has been amazing and I can't wait to see what the next year holds!

Welcome to $10 at Target! Each month a group of ladies and I go the place of the red bulls eye and see what $10 can get us! Last month was a bit of a bust, but I was determined to make this month's shopping trip better!

Russ had a wedding video job this past weekend up in NE Iowa, so the boys and I tagged along to spend some time with family. The boys had a blast and it was nice to see some cousins, aunts, and uncles we don't see often.

Growing up, I remember Cuddl Duds... those creamy white long johns that were notoriously known for being worn under jeans or tops to add a cozy extra layer. They weren't very attractive, but they did the job to keep you warm.

Fast forward, and the brand has reinvented themselves. Sure, they still have the cozy under layers, but they have so much more now too. Today I wanted to show you a few pieces I got from them and how I'll be styling them for out and about and cozy casual. I know I'll be wearing these a lot this fall and winter!

This week was one of those that I was terrible taking pictures of anything!

We have the boys' Halloween costumes and they are ready to go! No family theme this year, but each child's costume definitely represents their interests. Any guesses on what you think they'll be?

Hey all! I'm over at Des Moines Moms Blog today sharing some fall wardrobe essentials! Check it out here!

Fall is inching its way toward us, and I'm totally ready! I love the colors, the comfy cozy clothes, and the change in weather. This month DellaNicole and Tif and I are sharing our fall colors. I think the some of the other gals may be more Halloween focused, but I'm just loving on fall colors in general since I'm not a huge Halloween person.

Ya'll know I'm not afraid to wear a dress! I love them. They're comfortable to me and they are an outfit so you really don't have to add much to it besides a necklace if you don't want to!  Stephanie put out a challenge called Dresstember where we were challenged to wear a dress or skirt at least 10 days in the month of September, so today I'm sharing the dresses I wore last month!
