Each week we share the best parts of the week and hope you'll join us! Remember you can link up your highlights post or up to THREE of your favorite posts from this past week!

Just an FYI, the next couple weeks we have some family trips, so the blog will be a little bit on the back burner. I'll post as I can!

Wesley took part in our Police Department's Safety City Camp last week. They learn all about home safety, pedestrian and bike safety, bus safety, stranger danger, and more. Russ's grandma was in town visiting, so she came to his closing ceremony with us.

Summertime is here which means we are out and about a lot riding bikes, going for walks, and more. I was thrilled when Sarah asked me to review some leggings from Ndulge! Sarah gifted me two pairs for my review and today I'm sharing my thoughts on both PLUS Sarah is giving away a pair of leggings to one lucky reader, too!

Ndulge is an action wear clothing company that is passionate about improving lives. For every three pairs of leggings purchased, they donate one pair to a woman in need! How cool is that?

We're back for another episode of $10 at Target! Each month blogger friends and I head to the happy place with the red bulls eye and shop with just a $10 budget! Unfortunately, this is going to be the last month of the link up.  We have had some hosts move on, so unless someone else wants to take the reigns, the link up will end. I will likely still post my Target finds because it is fun!

We were in Colorado last week visiting Russ's sister and some friends of ours. The last time I'd been to Colorado was when Henry was 2 1/2, so it had been a while! When we took that trip with Henry six summers ago, we stopped at a Sinclair gas station on the way and have a picture of Henry on the dino. Russ got a picture of Wesley on one of the dinos last summer when he and Wes went to Colorado to pick up Henry from staying with Russ's sister. This summer we got a picture of each boy on the dino! Calvin was too scared to get on the actual back of it, but he would get on the tail.

I love a good dress because it's an all-in-one outfit in the summer especially, but I also LOVE a good romper or jump suit. As long as I can get in and out of it comfortably and it fits well, I'm sold!

I'm over at Des Moines Moms Blog sharing how to have fun with rocks this summer! Bop over and read the post here!

Hello Summer! If you're looking for me, you'll likely find me in a simple dress, a romper, or a fun shorts and top combo! This outfit was the latter and it was perfect for church and out to lunch.

Summer is upon us, and for this teacher, that means time off! It also means a lot of travel! We packed our summer full this summer. The boys are at a great age where they aren't in many summer activities, so we're taking full advantage. As we leave our home for days or even a week at a time, it's important to accomplish a checklist of things before we leave that will keep our home safe, clean, and make returning home pleasant.

Today I'm going to share five things with you that we always do before we leave on a trip including making sure we get keep the litter box clean with New Purina® TIDY CATS® Free & Clean™ Unscented Clumping Litter.

Preparing Your Home Before Vacation - Mail

1. If we're going to be gone for more than a couple days, we always put a stop to our mail or ask a trusted neighbor to get it for us. This keeps our home safe so that mail isn't piling up making it obvious that we're gone or allowing packages to get stolen.

2. I always take a look at our refrigerator before we leave, even if we're going to be gone just a few days. Coming home to spoiled food or old left overs isn't anything anyone wants! I also run the dishwasher one last time before we leave, even if it's not all the way full so that we come home to clean dishes.

3. Giving the whole house a nice tidying up is also something we always try to do before we leave. This includes cleaning the kitchen counters, emptying all the garbage, picking up the living room, and more. It always feels good to come home with everything in order.

Take Care of Your Pet Before Vacation

4. If you have a pet, arranging for its care is important, too! We have a cat, Toby, and we always make sure we have a family member or neighbor come over and take care of him while we are away.

5. Another way we take of Toby is preparing his litter box with New Purina® TIDY CATS® Free & Clean™ Unscented Clumping Litter.

Use TIDY CATS Free and Clean Cat Litter

We choose TIDY CATS Free and Clean because it has Unscented Odor Control with the Power of Activated Charcoal. It controls odor without dyes and fragrances plus it has TidyLock® Protection to lock away odors—giving you the clean you need free of the stuff you don’t. It also has strong clumps which makes for easy cleanup when we return home. TidyLock Protection locks away odors and is 99.9% dust free. It's an easy choice for us to help our home stay clean while giving our pet the best care.
