Did you know tomorrow is a holiday? May 1st is known as May Day! There's a lot of history to May Day if you search and read about it, but around here, we celebrate May Day with May Day Baskets!

Henry had his first soccer game this past weekend. It was a little chilly but he scored the first goal!

I love, love, love that spring weather is finally here! My yard is starting to green up (but still has a ways to go), the kids are able to play outside, and our moods are greatly improved!

Saturday Henry went to church camp for the day, so we just had the littler two. It was cold and gross outside, so we took them to explore the Des Moines Children's Museum. It's just starting out and currently is in a storefront at a local mall, but the boys had so much fun exploring. I know we will go back.

Back in January I rounded up some things I'd purchased on Amazon lately, and I figured it was time for another round up! Amazon is so, so handy. So often I can get things from them sooner than I can from the store! Buying online, especially clothes, sometimes make people nervous, but  I have utilized the free returns a couple times on some clothing items and it is so easy!

We're back for another episode of $10 at Target! Each month blogger friends and I head to the happy place with the red bulls eye and shop with just a $10 budget! It's always fun! First I always start off with what I didn't get...

PS Sorry for the technical difficulties yesterday!

Saturday was Wesley's birthday. We had a party at home. I asked him what theme he wanted for the party and he said "Disney." We kept it pretty simple with some fun Disney cupcake toppers I found at the Dollar Tree and some Disney napkins paired with bright colors.

For his party he wore his birthday crown from preschool which had me cracking up! We served pizza, fruit, and veggies and finished it all off with the cupcakes and a make it yourself ice cream bar. Wes loves baking and making creations, so it was perfect.

Later that day he had a friend's birthday party to attend, I did a couple girls' make up for prom, and then we hit up a late dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings (birthday boy's choice). It was such a great day! I can't believe he is FIVE! We have Kindergarten night next week!

Minivan moms unite! I joined the minivan club in November, and I will admit that I am happy I did. At first I was anti minivan, but once you get so many door dings and your child has to climb in the back of the SUV to get to the third row, it was time. We purchased our van used, and it's older (2008), but I am pretty sure it has everything a van could have had in 2008. I love it. It will get lots of miles on it this summer with our travels.

I'm over at Des Moines Moms Blog talking about on of my favorite spring colors, blush! Go check it out here!

Before we get into the highlights, don't forget to enter my giveaway for leather earrings!

Saturday I had a little pampering time. I got my hair cut and highlighted. I went quite a bit more blonde, and I think it will be fun for spring/summer.

I got these cards free for my review. Opinions are all my own.

Are you a thank you note writer? I try to to be, not always, but gratitude is something I really want to instill in our boys. Henry's birthday was back in the end of January and we worked with Ben the Rooster to make some custom thank you cards. We also worked with Ben to make our Christmas cards this past year!

I love the look of statement earrings, but so many pairs can be so heavy that by a couple hours in, my ears are begging for a break! When I discovered leather earrings, I was hooked (haha, get it?!)!

Happy Monday! Today I'm linking up with The Blended Blog for their series TBB Asks!

1. What three colors remind me of spring? For me it would be light green, lavender, and pastel yellow. They just make me think of all the flowers and plants starting to grow.

2 and 3. What is the first thing I add/ditch to your wardrobe in Spring? Probably the first thing I add is bare legs! I have dresses, but in the winter they are worn with tights or leggings (which is what I ditch). I hate being cold, so when the weather gets warmer, I break out the bare legs with dresses.

4. Who mows the grass where I live? Russ is the mower in our family. We have a push mower and he gets a good work out trimming up the yard. I've really never mowed though I have done a little weed whipping.

5. What is spring like where I live? I live in central Iowa and it can really depend. In the last few weeks it has started off cold and felt more like winter most days. We're kind of hovering around highs in the 40s or 50s which is not warm enough for me. If it could get into the 60s that would be nice. Hopefully soon!

6. What is my favorite thing about spring? I love seeing everything come back to life. I also like that the kids can get back outside and play. The other morning, Henry wanted to go swing outside before school. He swang away in his winter coat. I can tell that kid is missing nice weather as much as me!

7. Am I a spring cleaner? No. I'm really not a cleaner. My house isn't filthy, but it's also not spotless. I don't have a regular cleaning schedule and I'm sure that appalls some people but I think there are bigger things in life than worrying about cleaning. I clean as needed, usually in 30 minute spurts before company is coming over.

8. Am I a baseball fan? I do enjoy baseball. We don't really watch a ton on TV, but I enjoy going to a game every now and again. Each year we usually pick up a Groupon pack of general admission tickets to our local Iowa Cubs and hit up a few games with the boys.

9. Tulips or Daffodils? I really just like flowers in general.

10. Favorite outdoor spring activity? I really enjoy just being able to go on walks with the boys and sitting outside to watch them play...when it above 60 degrees...

11. Flowers in the ground or pots? I usually have a few pots of flowers on our front porch!

12. Favorite bird? I don't really have a favorite bird, but I think that cardinals are fun because of their red color.

13. Car wash or wash vehicles at home? If you follow my Instagram story, you know I like the car wash.  Our car dealership gives us a car wash coupon after an oil change and even without the free coupon I go there because they have a pretty cheap car wash!

14. When do I pull out the sandals? I usually pull them out when it is above 60 degree and I have painted my toe nails! Which reminds me, I need a pedicure!

Are you excited for spring? Do we have anything in common?
