bybmg: February 2015
First off, thank you all for your words of encouragement last week. I was reminded again just of God's great plans for us, and He definitely came through.

One of my favorites, if not my favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11 " For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." There have been many times in my life where I wonder what in the world is going on and what will come next, but it always turns out somehow.

Two wonderful blogger friends have written posts related to this beautiful verse in the past weeks, so if you need some encouragement today, head over to Ginny's blog or Sarah's blog to read some uplifting words.

On to the week's highlights!

{ONE}

The house stuff ironed itself out after over a week of waiting. We found out on Monday that everything will be fine. In two and a half weeks, we'll be moving! Now, I seriously need to start packing!

I had kind of a long week last week, but things are looking up!  Hence some selfie-outfit images. I've also decided to cut back a smidge and not document every. single. outfit. every. single. week.  I usually do all my outfit shots on Saturday or Sunday during nap time, but the changing in and out of 5 outfits is getting a little exhausting to my 29-week pregnant self. So, you may see more selfies if I feel the need or some days where there aren't outfits shown. I know you wonderful readers can understand because you're the best!

Wednesday:

Scarf: Chinatown
Tunic: Old Navy Maternity
Pants: (though you cannot see them) were black maternity skinnies from Old Navy via Thred Up (Use my referral link for $10 off your first order.)
Boots:  Steve Madden

I always look forward to my shiny pink mailer arriving from Ipsy mid-month, and this month's was another pleaser!

The bag this month was as cute as ever!

I'm always thinking of how to add something a little new or different around here, so when I saw Andrea over at Momfessionals was hosting a favorite things link up for 2015, I thought it would be fun to participate.  Each month, there's a new topic (all the topics can be found here).  This month, it's Favorite Things at Target. I loveeeeee Target.  Going there is like a mini vacation. And, with their lovely Red Card, I also get free shipping online! Here are a few Target things I'm loving lately:

So a little disclaimer to start this post... I really do try to stay positive around here, but if I were to report just the highlights of the week this week I would be kidding myself. Minimal high-fiving this week, sorry, folks!

I just have a couple outfits for you this week.  Saturday, when I usually take my outfit pictures, a much-needed nap trumped shooting my outfits. This week is conference week at school, which means two 12-hour days, which also means heading into the week rested was very important!

Wednesday

Scarf: Forever 21
Tunic: daily deal site (I can't remember which)
Leggings: LuLaRoe
Boots: Clarks (gift)

Planning the nursery this time around has been different than before. With both Henry and Wesley, we didn't know if they were boy or girl until delivery, so I tried to plan their nurseries as gender neutral thinking I'd possibly add pops of color once they were born to specify gender (mostly add some pink if they were girls). This time around, we know this little guy is all boy, so I thought I'd go all out and make it a totally boy nursery.  While perusing Pinterest, I came upon the idea of a super hero nursery, and just loved it!  So, here's what I'm planning!

1) It all really stemmed off of this guy.  The day of our ultrasound, I snagged him via Little Bit Funky Sews's Instagram sale.  These babies go QUICK every time she puts them up for sale, but I just happened to luck out this day.  I actually won it right before we left for the appointment.  I figured I would give it to Henry or Wesley, but after finding out this baby was a boy, I knew it was meant for him.

How Far Along? 28 weeks! If this guy comes when Wesley did (38 weeks), we have just 10 weeks left!

Happpppy Friday!  I hope you've had a wonderful week. Can you believe tomorrow is Valentine's Day and half way through February?!  Time sure flies!  Here are some of the happenings from this week around here.

I got a fun May Designs planner in the mail last week.  I've been admiring them for a LONG time, and they had a sale plus free shipping! I was able to snag it for about half off. I've mentioned I'm not much of a paper planner girl, but I thought I would give this one a whirl as needed. I got the 40 week planner without dates so I can just use it at my leisure.  Plus, it's darn cute and matched my Jamberry nails!
Scarves seem to be the thing again this week, but it's Iowa, they're needed!

Wednesday:

Scarf: H&M
Top: LuLaRoe
Bracelet: Lisa Leonard Designs
Pants: thrifted Motherhood Maternity
Shoes: thrifted BCBG

Well, to start off with the answer... I don't.

I got word of a book being released called The Fringe Hours by Jessica Turner.  You've probably seen me post a couple times about it on social media. The premise of the book is about how to take care of yourself and your interests as a woman. It talks about letting go of the guilt you might feel for taking time for self-care, finding pockets of time for your interests, and how to focus on what really matters (letting some things go).  The book will be released a week from today!  You can pre order it or you can enter to win a copy right here!

I take pictures all the time, thanks to my iPhone, but I really stink at ordering prints of pictures to have around the house. Sure, sometimes I will remember to order them for a specific purpose, but I often miss ordering the day-to-day pictures of our lives.  The social media app which I use most is definitely Instagram.  If you want to know what's going on with me, that's where to check.

I was so excited when I heard about Gramzies. They are monthly Instagram photo printing service.  With the $4.99 monthly subscription fee, they will print your 10 most liked photos or photos for which you have used the tag #gramzies.  You simply link your Instagram account with their company, and they do the rest of the work, delivering your photos straight to your mailbox each month. The print quality is similar to what I would get at most photo retailers.

I was thrilled with my first month's photos.  It seemed like they had looked back a few months in my account to get the most liked and #gramzie tagged photos for me. I can't wait to see what photos arrive this month.

Happy Friday! I hope you've had a fabulous week!

I mentioned a few weeks ago that I was chosen to be a brand ambassador for FleurtyBands!  Well, today you get the first benefit of that with an exclusive discount code just for followers of ambassadors!  Use the code: AMBASSADORLOVE20 for a 20% off your FleurtyBands purchase today through Sunday!

Back at it for another week!  We got a FOOT of snow here over the weekend, crazy! I'll admit I'm getting a little sick of my clothes... and I still have 14ish weeks left of this pregnancy!  Trying, really trying, not to buy anything new that's maternity, but it's hard. I'd really like a new pair of pants.  I am getting to the point where I really prefer the full panel pants, but I have like three pairs of those; the rest are the shorter below belly panel, and in all honesty they're getting uncomfortable.  I guess if I can snag a pair on sale I might break down and buy them.  It's important to be comfortable, right?

Wednesday:

Cardigan: Target
Belt: old
Dress: LulaRoe
Tights: NY & Co
Booties:  Amazon

Legos, legos, legos.  That's what it's all about at our house right now, so when it came to planning Henry's birthday, I knew a theme he'd agree upon.  I wanted to make things pretty simple, and I think I was successful.  We served pizza, chips, a veggie tray, and Izze for drinks.  Here are the rest of the little touches!

{Invitation}

Thank you, Pinterest. I was able to find this cute little invite and redo it on a photo editor on my phone. I sent the 4x6 prints to Walgreens to print at their one our photo and snagged some envelopes from buying a package of very discounted Christmas cards.

Hey, all! I'm over at Wife Mommy Me today bringing back to light one of my favorite posts, Dear Amateur Blogger. If you weren't around when I shared it originally, or just need to read it again, head over there! Happy Monday!
