Last weekend Russ and I went out to dinner at Malo for our anniversary! This next weekend will be our 12th anniversary! It has been so hot here in Iowa, and it totally feels like summer. This outfit was perfect for a summer-like date night!

Happy Wednesday! It's time for another Stitch Fix review! For my latest fix I requested summer pieces that could be worn with a bra, specifically rompers because I love a good romper and it's a one and done outfit!

This post contains referral links which means if you purchase though my link I will get Stitch Fix credit.

If you aren't familiar with Stitch Fix, you pay a $20 styling fee, then a stylist selects five items based on your style profile and any notes you leave with requests for things you'd like.

Here's what was in my box:

In this fix I requested rompers that could be worn with a bra. This one was spot on, but I already have a SUPER similar romper in gray and black, so keeping this one didn't make sense. Had it been a different color, it would have been a keeper!

This romper was cute, but with the halter, It can't be worn with a normal bra. I don't love halters. The fabric on this one was so comfy and had it been a normal sleeveless top, It would have been a keeper.

This jumpsuit was so cute, but it was a little tight in the torso. I felt like it would not be comfortable. It also wasn't very easy to get in and out of because it didn't have a lot of stretch. If it would have been a little longer in the torso, I probably would have kept it. I love the dark background with floral.

When I first peeked at my box, I didn't think this would be the keeper, but it was. I love the pattern mix, it pairs well with these red shorts, and I could see myself wearing it with jean or jean shorts, too!

I was happy that my stylist stuck with my request for thick straps. This top was super cute, but I wasn't a huge fan of the ruffle going below the arm.  The price was great, but I thought the other top was more up my alley for summer.

All in all, it was a pretty good fix. Have you tried Stitch Fix yet? If you want to try Stitch Fix for free, use this link to get your first styling fee waived!

My Friday night and Saturday morning was spent at events for my SeneGence business! It truly is always so fun to see women be amazed at the product, especially those who didn't think they could wear lip color and then end up feeling so pretty and buying it!

Summer is almost here! I can taste it! We have just a couple weeks left of school then we'll be off! We have travel plans, camps, and just some lazy days at home, too! Today I'm rounding up some things I have bought or want to buy in preparation for our adventures.

You know I love LipSense, I also happen to sell it, but you also have to know that we have a full cosmetics line! Our ShadowSense is amazing and today I wanted to show you how you can use just two shades to make an ombre eye look!

Check out the quick 5 minute video below!

If you want to shop you can shop directly on my website or in my Facebook group. One perk of shopping via my Facebook group is free shipping!

Have you tried ShadowSense before? I love it because of its cream to powder formula. It's so blendable and it doesn't crease! PLUS no broken powder eyeshadow problems.

Friday was Muffins and Moms at Wesley's preschool! Just so ya know, according to Wesley I am 14 years old!

I'm not a Pinterest Mom by any means, more of an Amazon Prime Mom, but I do love to make the cakes for my boys' birthdays. Sometimes it's cupcakes and sometimes its a full out cake. For Calvin's birthday last week, I went to Pinterest to get some inspiration for a monster truck cake, and then I put my own spin on it.

I took a Wilton Cake Decorating Class at my local Michael's Store back in 2011 and the things I've learned have come in handy so many times.

Today I wanted to walk you though how I made Calvin's cake! I realize the lighting isn't fabulous, but there's only so much you can do when your'e working on a cake at 9:00 at night.

I went to the SeneGence Seminar in Tulsa, OK last weekend. It was so wonderful to learn some new things and be surrounded by ladies who are also in the business. I also got to meet our founder and the president of the company which was cool, too!

Happy May! I'm sharing what's currently going on in our lives!
