Friday night grandma and grandpa kept the kids overnight so Russ and I could have a date night! We went out to eat at Cheesecake Factory, walked the mall, and hit up Target. You know, a great date night ends at Target?! Haha!

Sometimes I feel like people get in the groove that to look good you have to spend a lot of money. I have found that is totally not the case and today I wanted to share this totally affordable work wear outfit that will make you feel like a million bucks!

Every year, LuLaRoe releases a new style or more at their convention. I've slowly been adding one of the new pieces to my wardrobe when I find something I like, and this week I wanted to share the Gigi with you. If you're familiar with LuLaRoe, the Gigi is basically the top half of the Julia dress. Worn true to size, it's form fitting, but I went up one size when I purchased my Gigi because I wanted to wear it a few different ways. I'm normally a medium in tops, but I purchased a large Gigi. Today I'm showing you three different ways you can style this top!

Family Time

Des Moines Moms Blog had an event this past weekend that I helped out a little with and then Russ brought the boys. It was at our local park. There was a bounce house, vendors, yoga, free food, and more. It was such a great time!

Do you ever have that idea of, "Oh, this would be so fun to do with the kids!" or, "Oh, it's going to turn out so Pinterest-y!" Well, going into the idea for this post, I was so excited. Henry had just attended a kids in the kitchen event at our local library and there he told me that made cereal and yogurt parfaits. He said that he would really like to make them again for our family, so I headed to Hy-Vee to get the ingredients.

Welcome to $10 at Target! Each month a group of ladies and I go the place of the red bulls eye and see what $10 can get us! This month, my boys were in tow which made it a little more of an adventure!

You should know my now I love Southern Joy Designs! Cristian has unique jewelry and she sent me some goodies in the mail to show off to you! I wore the wooden earrings earlier this week and they are so amazing and light weight! The Kind/Cool bracelet is perfect for teaching in the middle school and it's even in my school color of purple. I can't wait to wear the other bracelets, too! Thanks, Cristian! Use code SJDBG10 to get a discount when shopping!

It's time for another Stitch Fix review! I got my third Stitch Fix this summer right before our trip to Mexico, and soon after I scheduled a fix for September so I would have some fresh ideas for back to school.

Today I'm linking up with Erin at Perfectly Port Family to share 10 things I love about my home! The photos are kind of a spatter of old and new because I was trying to save myself a little time rounding things up!

The big boys and I took a little trip to Target last weekend. They each had a little money to spend and I did my $10 at Target shopping. With them in tow it wasn't quite my usual relaxing "vacation," it was more of an adventure.

Happy Wednesday! I'm back at it this month with Della, Nicole and Tif and we're all styling white after Labor Day! You don't have to put those white items away after this past weekend!

Every year, LuLaRoe releases a few new piece at their convention. Last year was the Carly dress, and phew, if you don't own one or more of those, you should! This year, they released quite a few different styles, one being the Shirley! Shirley is a kimono-type piece. It's kind of like their Monroe (if you're familiar with that one), but it is longer, has no fringe, and has smaller sleeves. The Shirley also comes in small, medium, and large where the Monroe was just small and large.

There are endless ways to style the Shirley, and today I wanted to show you two! First up, is with the LuLaRoe Julia dress!

I got to spend some time with a friend this week. We went to a yoga class and went out for a drink afterwards. It was so nice. I need to get back in a routine of going to yoga more often because it is so refreshing.
