My husband is the ultimate gift giver. He has always been great at picking out unique things for me that he knows I will love. I'm a pretty good gift giver myself, but one of the keys to finding a great gift is finding a unique place to shop!

Enter Uncommon Goods. Uncommon Goods is a privately owned retailer that has been in business since 1999. They pride themselves in offering unique jewelry, home decor, and handcrafted gifts while also giving back non-profits and supporting small business. Today I'm sharing great ideas for the guy in your life, but they also have a great round up of gifts for women, too!

A new year always prompts goals or resolutions. I've learned about myself that if I try to make too big of a change, it just won't happen, so today I'm sharing four little ways I'm trying to get a healthier start to the new year. Hopefully you can take away something that will help you!
TGIF!  We're revving up for a fun and busy weekend! Here are the highlights from this week:

Calvin is a little book worm. We've been spending a lot of time in the chair in his room. He would love to read book after book, but he has just a few that he will let you read to him because he knows them. If I try to introduce a new book, he won't have it.

I received free product in exchange for my review. Opinions are all my own.

Today I wanted to share some ways I use my iPad for blogging productivity. I know some people are Mac computer all the way or PC all the way for their blogging needs, but I'm a little different. I have an Asus Chromebook plus an iPad that I use for blogging. I bought my Chromebook a couple years ago and I really like the simplicity of it, but I was missing photo editing. I tried to make it with using my iPhone, but it was getting difficult to get pictures from the SD card to the phone and editing photos on a small phone screen is just a pain. So, I saved up my pennies and bought an iPad. Today I wanted to share a few things I do/apps I use to make my iPad work for me!

This week I'm teaming up with Beth, Meghan, and Whitney to show off our winter wear looks. I wanted so share a look I wore this weekend with my favorite buffalo plaid scarf. If you've been around here, you're probably like, "Becky, enough with the buffalo plaid!" If not, you can see how I styled some here and here. But, I just LOVE buffalo plaid!

Happy Friday! Any big plans for the weekend? Here are highlights of the past week:

We had a teacher work day last Friday. It was so nice to get stuff done and work at my own pace in my classroom. It was also nice to have a Friday where I didn't have to wear school colors!

People often say to me, "I don't know how you do it all!" Now, I don't do it ALL, but I have a lot going on which may lead people to think I'm an overachiever, and over the past year, I've become more of a paper calendar person to keep it all in order. There's just something about writing things down and seeing things on paper that is appealing to me. I have a calendar for my personal life, a calendar for the blog, and a calendar to map out lesson plans at school. Today I wanted to share a cute little addition I made to my blog calendar to keep me organized.

Welcome to another month of $10 at Target. This month, the dollar spot was stocked with all the wonderful Valentine's things! It was so hard to decide what to get, and I was feeling kind of "stuffed" out after Christmas, so I decided to plan ahead an shop for Valentine's Day gifts for my kiddos teachers and our daycare provider.

Per usual, let's start off with a couple cute things I didn't buy:
Happy Friday! It's been a week, but I'm looking forward to a long weekend as we have the day off on Monday. Here are the highlights of the past week:

Russ's school had their belated holiday get together on Saturday night. It was at a place in Des Moines called Ricochet. It has pool tables, dart boards, ping pong tables and more. It's a BYOB place, so we all brought in food and drink. It was fun to have a night out and get a full night's sleep since the boys were at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Happy Tuesday, everyone! Today I wanted to share the outfit I wore this past Saturday night. Russ and I went out to dinner and to his work holiday party. This really looks like more of a fall look, but I just got this Sarah Cardigan and I had to wear it!

Stitch Fix. Have you tried it? So many bloggers that I know share about their fixes on a regular basis, so I figured I would give it a try.

What is Stitch Fix? It's a styling service. You fill out a style profile including your sizes and then request a fix! Each fix costs a $20 styling fee. Once your fix arrives to you, you have three days to decide what to keep or send back. The $20 styling fee is applied to the cost of the item(s) you choose to purchase. Then, you fill out a feedback form online, check out with the item(s) you decide to keep, and send the rest back in a prepaid mailer. If you keep all five items, you get a 25% discount.

Today I wanted to share my first fix with you and get your thoughts on what I should keep!

Happy Friday! Can you believe a week ago was 2016? I feel like this week went fast but NYE seems like forever ago. Sleep was majorly lacking at our house this week, so I'm excited to slow down this weekend.  Here are some highlights from the past week:

I may receive a commission (with no extra cost added to you) if you make a purchase from the links in this post. Thanks for supporting the time and love I put into this space. Please see my disclosure for more details.

I scored some poppers super cheap when Target had their Christmas department 70% off. Is it crazy that I'd never done them before?! Anyways, we stayed in on NYE, but the poppers and some sparkling grape juice provided a little fun for the boys. They went to bed at pretty typical time because if they were to stay up they'd still be up at 6 am...

Outside photo shoots are fun in the winter? Aren't they? I feel like I look a little disgruntled in these pics, but it was a bit chilly! Though the ground looks like fall, it was in the 20 degree range while shooting this outfit. The theme for our How I Style It blog hop this month is Winter Blues, which totally fits the bill for me. I reallllly dislike winter. I hate being cold. After Christmas, spring can pretty much come as soon as possible. You'd think I'd love winter with my birthday being in February, but that's not the case. I love to layer it up to be warm, and this outfit definitely has layering. Make sure you check out Tif, Della, and Nicole's looks, too!

Christmas decor is all packed away in our house. I wanted to decorate the front door somehow, but I am just not quite ready to get Valentine's decorations out. I wanted something with a little winter look, and what saw winter more than a scarf? This DIY was so, so easy and really took about 10 minutes from start to finish!
