Thankfulness #4

Wesley

I'm so thankful for this little guy. He was hoped and prayed for, and came at the perfect time. His laugh and smile just melt my heart. I'm thankful for his health. I'm thankful that he sleeps at night. I'm thankful that he brings joy to others. He is easily calmed by being outside. He loves exploring the world around him. He humors his big brother. He's a keeper. Love you, Wesley! Can't wait to see more of your personality shine though as you grow.
Thankfulness #3

Henry

I still get this in awe feeling when I watch him sleep at night. I'm responsible for this kid.  His creativity and humor just amazes me sometime. He can be so silly. So thoughtful. So funny. So honest. He can also be so dramatic! He has taught me a lot about myself. Patience. The need for routine and explanations. The need for letting loose and going in a totally different direction. He's a wonderful big brother. His smile is contagious. Love you, Henry!

Thankfulness #2

Starbucks

Yep, you heard me right. I'm thankful for Starbucks. Not all these posts have to be lovey-dovey, nor are they in order of importance. ;)

Last night was long. Henry has a bad cough. He was up crying at 11. 1:30. 2. 3. Wesley was up at 4:30. Then 5:30 for good. I really felt like I got no sleep last night. Then, I got an email early this morning for a free tall Starbucks seasonal drink. I went to get groceries, then off to Starbucks to claim my beverage. After the long night, it was much needed. Starbucks has some great perks sometimes when you register your gift card and reload it. Thank you, Starbucks!
I know it's always good to be thankful, and I am year-round, but this November, I'm going to do a series of thankfulness posts. I'd like to say I'll do one every day, but I can't guarantee that...but I will try, so here goes....

Thankfulness #1

my husband

I'm thankful for how he's a hands-on dad. He's not afraid to change a diaper. He's taken Henry on many solo expeditions (and Wesley, too!). He does sweet acts of kindness for me. He always notices what I'm into and up to. He is a thoughtful gift giver. He is an amazing teacher. He is creative. He pushes me to try new things (even though I often resist, he still keeps at it). He cares. He loves. He's not afraid to be silly and chase Henry around a store. He's affectionate. Love you, Russell!
