Happy Friday! Della at Della Devoted, Katie at Cup of Tea, Tif at Bright on a Budget, and I want to welcome you to High Five for Friday! Each week we share the best parts of the week and hope you'll join us! Remember you can link up your highlights post or up to THREE of your favorite posts from this past week!

{ONE}

For the past ten years, Russ and I have spent a weekend away with a few couples. It's nice to hang out without all our kids and just chat and go out to dinner together without cutting up someone's meal. In past years we've gone down to an area with a lake and had separate cabins. This year we rented a house with a nice pond and it was a blast!

The five of us went to the Iowa Cubs baseball game Monday night. We love to get their general admission Groupon deal at the beginning of the season which gets us 10 tickets for $30! At $3/ticket it makes for a great summer night and I don't feel bad if we just leave after a couple innings. They also have picnic tables in the general admission area which we love to sit at and watch the game.

The end of summer is always bittersweet. I crave routine, so it is good to get back to things, but I also love the lazy and carefree days of summer. This week I had a couple morning meetings for school. It felt good to get up and at 'em in the morning, but I also missed some morning cartoon cuddles.

As I was searching for a good place to take photos of my Thred Up Goody Box items I took down some photos from a wall in our house. I decided I didn't want to put them back up and instead found an idea on Pinterest for photo ledges. I showed Russ the idea, and we went to Menards the same day to get the supplies. It is a pretty simple DIY and I finished staining it yesterday. We hope to get it hung up this weekend and I can show you a photo next week!

{FIVE}

I took the boys to my classroom on Thursday to do the initial unpacking of boxes. I moved classrooms this year. They had tons of fun playing with my boxes, writing on the white boards, and more. AND I actually got all my boxes unpacked, so I will say it was a win!

How was your week?

We would like to announce that the H54F linkup is expanding to where you can drop links for up to 3 of your posts each week. Of course, you can still drop your link for a Friday 5 post, but we want to make this a platform for our followers to discover a variety of fun new content each week.

Now, it's time to link up your favorite posts of the week!
