Stitch Fix #5

For me, getting a Stitch Fix is a treat. If you aren't familiar with Stitch Fix, you pay a $20 styling fee, then a stylist selects items based on your style profile and any notes you leave with requests for things you'd like. With my birthday coming up, I decided to schedule a fix. In the notes to my stylist, I said I would like a vest (not an olive utility vest since I already have one), floral items, some things that will transition well into spring, and possibly a cobalt blue item for my upcoming trip for SeneGence. Here's what I got:

This top is cute. I like the lace detail, but I just didn't LOVE it for the price tag. If it was cheaper, I likely would have kept it, but for me, spending $40+ after the styling fee on a shirt has to be something very special, so I decided to return it.

The pants were cute, but tight. Not tight too small, but just tight in style. I was just not in love with the unfinished hem, so I returned them.

I really debated and almost kept this top. Russ really thought it was cute. I did too, but I REALLY dislike wearing a strapless bra, so much so I avoid items that require one. I had mentioned in previous fixes that I didn't like things I couldn't wear a normal bra with, so ultimately, I decided to return it because of that reason. And, I'll probably regret it later.

This vest was really cute, but I have a light gray vest similar to it already, so I returned this one.

I really liked the price tag of this dress, but it isn't something I would feel comfortable wearing to work without leggings. I probably could pair it with a cozy sweater and leggings and it may have looked cute, but I wasn't feeling it, so I decided to return it too.

All in all I wasn't super against anything in this fix, but for me, with Stitch Fix prices, I have to LOVE it to keep it.

The next day after I checked out and said I was returning all my items, Stitch Fix sent an email saying they would waive my next styling fee if I wanted to try another fix. I really couldn't say no to a FREE chance at a fix, so I have another one scheduled in a couple weeks! You know I'll blog about it, so get ready!

Like I said in the beginning, for me Stitch Fix is a treat. I enjoy shopping myself and enjoy finding deals, so the idea of doing a fix on a regular basis isn't in my budget and doesn't appeal to me. But, I know some people hate shopping and really love getting fixes on a regular basis.

If you want to try Stitch Fix for free, use this link to get your first styling fee waived!
