One important lesson I've learned in life is be prepared. You never know when something might happen whether it be a wardrobe malfunction, an issue with a contact lens, bad breath, or a headache. Today I wanted to share my winter desk emergency kit with you. It's just some things I keep nearby at work to be prepared for any situation, especially during cold and flu season!

I'm a teacher and the temperature in our building can fluctuate from hot to cold depending on the day or time. I've learned to keep a basic cardigan in my desk for the cold swings. I also have a lint roller. With having a cat, I never know when some cat hair might follow me to school! I keep some wardrobe tape in my stash as well for those unexpected wardrobe malfunctions.

I've also learned to have emergency snacks, too. Some mornings I walk out the door without breakfast or breakfast just wasn't enough. Whether its fending off coffee breath or a delicious lunch, mints are also a necessity.

Last for the health concerns, I'm a contact wearer, so I always need some contact solution. Cough drops are handy when cold season hits because I have to talk a lot during the day. Life in the workplace can come with a lot of headaches and pains, especially in cold and flu season. I keep Motrin® IB in my desk at all times because of its fast acting relief.

I found Motrin® IB in the pain reliever aisle at Target. I love how easy it is to find what I need in their health care aisles with the easy to read headings where things are located.

My desk is stocked and ready for anything this winter!

What are your winter desk essentials?
