Plaid just makes me think of cooler weather, doesn't it for you? Today Tif at Bright on a Budget and I are styling our plaid shirt dresses because they are perfect for fall and will transition right into winter! When Tif first purchased her plaid dress, I was so tempted to purchase it myself, but I wasn't sure of the sizing. Sometimes for me a boutique large can fit a little snug and that's the largest it came in. Then, I was browsing Poshmark and spotted this dress. It's a size smaller than I normally wear, but the seller's closet had other things that were my size. I asked some questions and it seemed like it would fit, so I took a risk and ordered it up!

Originally when I got this dress, I thought more about pairing it with black booties and tights for winter, but then I tried it on with my cowboy boots, switched out the tie that came with it for a brown belt, and I think it is perfect for fall. I've wanted a pair of cowboy boots for a while, but they do not come cheap if you want a quality pair! These boots are a little scuffed up, but I also scored them on Poshmark for just $20! They are the real deal and are really comfortable!

I tried to keep my accessories simple since a plaid dress says a lot for itself. I just added some simple bangles and earrings and called it good.

All in all I think this outfit is great for fall. I am not a super short dress girl, and though this one looks ok on, I'll definitely feel more comfortable wearing it with leggings later on.
