My boys are big Angry Birds lovers. They've played the Angry Birds game a lot. We haven't had the most luck in making it through movies in the theater, but at home movie nights are way more successful. We were super excited to find out that the Angry Birds Movie was just released and we could stream it online!

I thought it would be fun to make a snack to enjoy for the event, so we made simple Angry Birds fruit pizzas.





For the pizza crust, I used simple sugar cookie dough. I bought a pre-made tube and sliced it up to easily get circles without having to make a huge mess in the kitchen.



Then, I made some cream cheese spread (1/3 cup sugar, a block of cream cheese and a dash of vanilla extract) to use for our fruit pizza sauce! I cut fruits that were the colors of the birds as well as yellow fruit strips for beaks. Of course the birds need eyes, so we added some candy eyes, too!


Now, I will say we probably should have made the green fruit pizza the pig, but there are green birds in angry birds. Next time I would just do a green oval for the pig's nose.


Nonetheless, the boys thought they were super fun and started eating them before I could even take a picture! 


The Angry Birds Movie was quite a hit, too! It was cute and funny and really made the background of why the Angry Birds attack the pigs connect. My boys watched it to the end and I know we'll be watching it again soon. We used our Chromecast to stream it to the TV! Peace out DVDs! Streaming is the way we watch most movies now.
