Over the past few years, I've had to figure some things out to calm the crazy and make my life a little less stressful. Today I'm sharing five routines that have helped me stay healthy and just stress a lot less about the day to day things over all.

Outfit Planning

Every weekend, I take the time to play out my outfits for the week. I take my flat lay photos that I post on Instagram, and I hang up each outfit including its accessories in the front part of my closet. Some weeks I plan outfits for each specific day and other weeks I just plan five outfits overall. This helps make the mornings go more smoothly because I don't waste time staring in my closet or changing out of different outfits.

Lunch and Gym Bag Packing

If I'm taking my lunch (sometimes I eat at school) I try to pack it the night before. I have a fun little cute lunch box that makes bringing my lunch all the more fun. Packing it at night makes it so I can just grab it and go. I also do this with my gym bag if I plan to work out the next day. Packing it at night leads to less forgetting and rushing around in the morning. (This applies to the school year, not the summer, but I'm adding this in because it's something I do most of the year.)

Night Showering

I try to keep my morning getting ready time to a minimum. So, to cut out on the shower and blow dry time, I shower at night. I usually shower right after the boys go to bed. This allows time for my hair to air dry. Then, in the morning, I just have to style it. I can get hair and make-up ready in about 25 minutes or less. If it's a second (or third) day hair day, I can get ready in even less time because I either throw my hair up or just have to re-style it a little!

Meal Planning

Meal planning is something that has helped my sanity a ton. During the school year it makes it so when we come home, there's no question what's for dinner. During the summer it saves my sanity because thinking of two meals a day off the top of my head plus activities to do each day is overload for my brain. Even week by week planning sometimes makes me nuts ("Did we eat that last week?") So, this summer, Russ and I sat down and made a list of all the meals we could think of. I made them into a three week rotation. Our meals are not crazy intensive, and I have a couple out to eat times scheduled in, too.

Taking Pills and Vitamins Consistently

It all started when I was pregnant with Henry. I wanted to make sure I took my vitamin each day. With morning sickness, evenings right before bed worked best, so now that's my time. I take any daily prescriptions and my daily vitamin in the evenings at the same time I brush my teeth before bed. Having that consistent time makes it something I rarely forget. For some people, taking vitamins in pill form can be a struggle. Walgreens has some great options including Centrum Raspberry Vitamints and Centrum MutliGummies. Centrum Raspberry Vitamints are vitamins you can enjoy like a mint, and they have a delightful raspberry flavor, too! Through I take my vitamins in the evening, these would be great to throw in your purse and take daily after a meal when you need a little mouth refresher. Centrum MultiGummies taste great and are easy to take for those who aren't fans of swallowing large pills.

Centrum Vitamins can be found in the vitamin aisle near the pharmacy. Walgreens partners with Vitamin Angels. For every vitamin or supplement purchased at Walgreens, they will make a donation to provide vitamins to undernourished children around the world.

What routines help you have a less stressful day? Which Centrum Vitamin do you want to try? Let me know in the comments!
