November Ipsy Glam Bag

I always get a little giddy when I get the shipping notification that my
Ipsy bag is on its way.  This month's bag was another great one, and felt I totally got my money's worth. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription in which you receive a cute zipper pouch along with five beauty samples. It costs just $10 a month.

The bag this month was so cute; glitter with a pink zipper. Every month each bag comes with five items.  The items are chosen from a beauty profile you fill out when you subscribe.  Each month you can give feedback on the items you receive letting them know if you were pleased with the type of item, brand, shade, etc.  Four out of five items in this month's bag were definite keepers.  One will probably be tossed.

Full size retails for $8.99. I got a sample size.

I've been getting a little lazy some days lately and have just been pulling my hair back in a ponytail. I always like to use a light touch of hairspray just to keep the fly aways at bay. This hairspray has a light finish, and I was really pleased with it.  It is available at Ulta, and they usually have a coupon in the paper, so next time I'm needing hairspray, I might pick this one. up.

Full size retails for $27.50.  I got a sample size.

I've never really used a highlighter before.  I was happy that Ipsy's site had some explanation of how to use it.  I don't think it will be an every day item, but I will probably use it if I'm going out somewhere nice.

Full size retails for $24.00.  I got a sample size.

I've really been looking for a concealer that will actually cover some of the darkness under my eyes.  This one hit the mark and I will end up buying a full size eventually.  Below are little before/after of its use. I was very pleased.

Before

After

I know, I know, I don't have huge under eye bags, but I feel like this really lightened things up.  It was pretty thick and held up all day. Now I just need to make it part of my routine, so I remember to put it on!

 Shade: Submissive
Retails for $14.

I usually use powder shadow, but I was totally excited to try this more creme-based shadow out.  The shade is perfect for me.  I don't usually do bold shadows, so this one adds just a little shimmer. I feel like it will last a long time, too.

Shade: Red Potion
Retails for $4.99.

So, yeah.  I'll let the picture below let you know how I feel about this.

I felt like it made me look like a vampire.  I don't do dark lip color.  I feel like I've told Ipsy that, yet they sent this. I gave feedback on their website accordingly. No thanks. Throwing it away because I never dress up for Halloween.

So, overall a great bag.  The eye base alone makes the bag more than worth it.

If you're an Ipsy subscriber, how did you like your bag this month?  If you aren't a subscriber, give it a whirl!
