Can I have another snack?

There was an image floating around Facebook that made me chuckle. It talked about eating schedules during the school year (breakfast, morning snack, lunch, after school snack, dinner) and then eating schedules in the summer (morning snack, breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, what's for lunch, can I have dessert, snack, dinner, snack, and so on...). I feel like we are snack machines around here this summer.

Another deal is that we are on the go a lot more, which throws off meal schedules, routines, and makes everyone more hungry.

Finding a variety of healthy snacks can be difficult. Finding ones that are good on the go is necessary, too!
Calvin is in his stroller more, and giving him a snack just makes him a lot more content.

Sometimes I have to clean around the house blog and having him in his high chair next to me with a snack gives me time to get things done.

I recently discovered Gerber's Lil' Beanies. They're not JUST for toddlers. Wesley thinks they're pretty great, too.

I found them at Target in the baby food aisle, and as far as snacks, go, I think the price is pretty reasonable.

I like Gerber Lil' Beanies because they add a little variety to my boys' diets.  They also get them away from the typical sweet snacks so they can learn to appreciate the taste of beans and veggies. They come in Original and White Cheddar and Broccoli flavors. They're made from navy beans and each serving contains 2 grams of protein and 1 gram of dietary fiber. They're free of GMOs and contain no artificial colors of flavors.

Which flavor do you think your kiddo would like? Read up about each here: Original and White Cheddar and Broccoli
