Boot Botanics Ionic Clay Mask

I've never been much of a mask user. This year I have had some heightened feelings about my skin and anit-aging though, so I was excited when Influenster included this mask in their J'Adore Vox Box.

So, without further ado, my lovely review where you get to see me without any make up and with green stuff on my face.  Enjoy!

This mask is the Boots Botanics Ionic Clay Mask. I've never done a clay mask before, just ones that peel off in a film or exfoliating ones.

The directions were to cleanse the skin, apply the mask, leave it for 10 minutes, and rinse it off.  I have been taking my showers in the evening so that It's easier to do my hair in the morning, so I applied the mask right after my shower.  This is me before.

I will admit I wasn't mentally prepared for what was going to come out of the tube. It was the texture of....runny clay...obviously...but as a mom it reminded me of diaper messes. Yep, not glamorous, but I still put it on my face.

This is how it looked after the 10 minutes. I felt kind of like I was going camo in the military.

Any my face afterward. It was very easy to rinse off.

This mask wasn't life changing by any means, but it was refreshing. It says that it's non-drying on the bottle, but I definitely felt like I needed to pile on some moisturizer after the fact.  I think I'll give it a whirl a few more times, maybe once a week, and see how it goes. I also just got the Olay Pro X Advanced Cleansing System, so I feel like that combined with this mask may help my skin be more vibrant.

I was not compensated for this post, though I did receive the product free to try from Influenster. All thoughts are my own.
