Today I'm linking up with Momfessionals Show and Tell Tuesday for a day in the life. The day I documented was Wednesday, April 13, 2016.

My alarm goes off at 5:50 am, and I hop out of bed. My hair is a hot mess because I shower at night and let it air dry. 

About 25 minutes later, after a little flat iron curling action and make up, I am dressed and ready to go. I only wash my hair about every other day, so some mornings, I just have to touch up my hair and do make up.

I go out at start a cup of cappuccino and go in to get Calvin because he's stirring. The other two boys come up stairs during this time, too. 

I sit and enjoy my cappuccino and post my outfit picture to Instagram while Calvin plays on the floor. He loves playing with shoes.

Russ eats his oatmeal and reads up on news. Wes eats some goldfish and plays with a matching game.

Henry decides he wants to text Russ and me from his iPod. He loves texting us "I love you," and "Have a great day!"

Russ usually does morning drop off, so we part ways. He takes the kiddos, and I drive to school. We live super close to my school. 

I arrive and find out that the scheduled staff meeting is canceled, so I have a little extra time to get ready for the day.  Also, when I arrive at school, I realize it was sweatpants day. I'm super annoyed that I forgot to wear my sweats! Pretty soon the students start rolling in and the day gets started.

I have two planning periods smack dab in the middle of the day that combine with lunch, so I have a little extended break. I decide to go home quick and change into sweats.

I eat lunch in the lounge with some coworkers. I've been getting pretty good about bringing my lunch. I also grab a soda. We have a vending machine in the lounge and they're only a buck. After lunch, I head back to my classroom to do some planning and such. 

Back to class for the afternoon. I teach Communications this semester and we're talking today about web searching strategies today.

I have to jet out of school a little bit early, so a coworker covers the last few minutes of my last class. I pick up Calvin from daycare and take him to an ENT appointment. After talking to the doctor and a quick look in his ears determines he needs tubes. We schedule the surgery for the following week and head back home.

Russ is home for a little bit, but then he has to leave to have dinner with a friend who is in Iowa from out of state. The two big boys play on the deck with water beads while I get dinner ready and Calvin crawls around the kitchen.

Dinner is simple since I'm going solo - hot dogs, apple slices, yogurt, and a few crackers.

While I'm prepping dinner, the big boys decide it would be fun to throw all the water beads all over the deck. They are everywhere... so, I send them out with brooms to get started. Henry has a minor meltdown because Wesley is playing and cleaning off the deck is going to take forever.

We eat dinner, and I send the big boys back outside to work on the deck, but they really seem to do more playing than working. I give Calvin a few crackers to keep him happy.

Then, I attack the counter. Thank goodness for dishwashers. The dishwasher was full of clean dishes, so I unload it, reload it, and wipe down the counters.

Ta-da! All clean!

Then, I head outside with Calvin in my arms and help the boys finish cleaning up the deck. It takes a long time, and we all complain a little, but it's done. I remind Henry that messes are quick to make and slow to clean up. 

I send Henry and Wesley down to the playset to get some shoes and things that got left down there. They decide to push each other on the rope swing. I just love seeing them play together and I'm so thankful for the playset!

The boys get some screen time. Henry usually plays Minecraft and Wesley usually watches random toy videos on YouTube. 

Calvin and I head to my room where I take picture of a few things to list on Poshmark. He pulls a ton of my shoes out from my shoe organizer. At least he looks like he's having fun!

7:00ish, and it's time to start getting ready for bed. I give Calvin his bottle and put him down while the big boys still enjoy their screen time.

Then, we head down stairs. Henry gets himself ready while I get Wesley ready. Then we read one of Wesley's favorite books, a Mickey Duplo book. Mickey sneezes in the book and it's Wesley's favorite part.

Then we read Henry's pick, a Minecraft tips book. I'm always surprised at his attention span to listen to how to do things in Minecraft. He's a little Minecraft obsessed.

Once the boys are all in bed, I shower, then spend way too much time getting sucked into blog things. Russ gets home at about 10:00. We talk about how his dinner was and how the day was, then it's time for bed. Good Night!
