What I Wore Wednesday: Black Maxi Dress and Utility Jacket

Seems like y'all were ok with a feature look and then a round up of the rest of my looks last week, so I'm back at it this week! Today I'm sharing a simple look with a black maxi dress and an olive utility jacket!

Jacket: Old Navy
Dress: Kohls
Necklace: Walmart
Sandals: Birkenstocks
Bracelet: Keep Collective
Bag: Kate Spade via Poshmark

I feel myself drawn to more subtle colors lately. I was on the hunt for a black maxi dress while planning this post, and I ended up ordering the one I'm wearing from Kohls.

I really like it's length and bottom hem. It's not dragging on the ground and the curved hem adds a little interest. I stuck with simple gold details in my sandals and jewelry.

I wore this outfit last Sunday. When I originally got this dress, I planned to pair it frequently with my utility vest. I really didn't think I *needed* a utility jacket, too, but when we had some extra credit card rewards to spend, I snatched this one up from Old Navy, and I'm so glad I did. It gives the same fun look of the versatile utility vest but adds some warmth on these spring weather days we're having.  All-in-all this outfit was so comfortable for going to church and to the garden center to pick out plants. I felt classy and put together without much work.

And then my sweet little middle man wanted a picture!

Now for a round up of the rest of the week.
