High Five for Friday 1.5 - Catching Up

Happy Friday! Sorry I was missing in action last week. I can explain!

Della at Della Devoted, Katie at Cup of Tea, Tif at Bright on a Budget, and I want to welcome you to High Five for Friday! Each week we share the best parts of the week and hope you'll join us!

{ONE}

So, the reason I was missing last Friday was because we were in the hospital with Calvin. He spiked a HIGH fever and his white blood cell count was super high, too, so they admitted us. We were there for two days and they never really could figure out what was causing it, but we are glad it wasn't anything major (that we know of) and that it was over winter break so we didn't have to miss any work. I'm so thankful to both of our families for stepping in so Russ and I could both be at the hospital.

Christmas was wonderful. We have a tradition of giving the boys new PJs and an ornament on Christmas Eve. We don't really do Santa at our house, but Henry wanted to "play Santa," so we woke him up after the two littles fell asleep and he put out all the presents under the tree. He thought it was fun. We'll have to see if that turns into a tradition.

Here's a look back and their jammies since we started the tradition!

We got the boys gift cards to Build A Bear for Christmas and so we headed there on the 26th to make their creatures. Henry made a dino with basketball clothes, Wesley made Poppy the Troll with a fun outfit, and Calvin made Olaf.

On the 27th, we took Henry and Wesley to the movie Wonder. They both enjoyed it. It was such a good movie. I read the book a long while ago so it was nice to see the movie too.

We had originally planned to hang out with friends on NYE but after Calvin's ordeal, we decided to stay in with the boys. We had a fun night of movies and snacks and an early countdown thanks to Netflix!

It snowed just a few days before Christmas and the boys got to play outside. It was nice to have a white Christmas!

{Bonus SIX}

I splurged on a pair of (affiliate link) Sperry Saltwater Boots right before Christmas and I'm in LOVE! They will be on repeat this winter and early spring!
