You know I'm all for being prepared. The colds have hit our house on and off this fall, but I have successfully avoided a bad cold so far. However, being a teacher and having small children, I just know it's inevitable! I feel like we always have things for the kiddos when they are sick, but moms need to be prepared for their sick days, too. Today I'm sharing a basket of things I collected to keep on hand to prepare for a sick day. This would also make the perfect little gift for a friend in your life who is sick!
Fuzzy socks are always a comfort to me. There's not much worse than cold feet! Tissues are a must as well, and having an extra box of them in this basket assures I won't run out. Sometimes after many wipes, your nose just needs a little gentler touch, so I include a package of saline wipes in my basket, too.
Whether it's a stomach bug or a cold, simple foods always help, too. Applesauce, saltine crackers, and chidken noodle soup are must haves for a mom sick day.
Tea is a given for me on a sick day, too and Bigelow Teas are wonderful for soothing sore throats, body chills, and just giving some comfort c. It comes in a variety of flavors (I love their I Love Lemon) and steeps in just a few minutes. Bigelow Teas are made with quality ingredients and proudly manufactured in the United States. I am proud to support this wonderful family company.
I purchased my Bigelow Teas at Walmart! They have many flavors to choose from. You can find them in the tea and coffee aisle!
Whether it's a cold, stomach bug, or just generally not feeling well, this little basket of goodies has me prepared for it all.
