Black, Leopard, and Making it Work

I haven't linked up with Anne and Mom Style Remix in a little while, but when I saw this month's prompt was scarves, I knew I had to get back at it. I've kind of let scarves fall by the wayside in my wardrobe and I'm not sure why. I used to be a scarf with every outfit kind of girl. I have a ton of scarves, but I just wasn't reaching for them much.

I may receive a commission (with no extra cost added to you) if you make a purchase from the links in this post. Thanks for supporting the time and love I put into this space. Please see my disclosure for more details.

Scarf: DIY by me
Top: Old Navy
Extender: Charming Charlie
(Shirt extender options: white or black)
Jeans: Vigoss
Bootie: Soda via Poshmark (similar)
Purse: Kate Spade via Poshmark (similar)

My jewelry with this outfit is from my latest Rocksbox. The earrings are not my typical thing, but they are so fun! That's one great thing about Rocksbox. I can try things I might not usually try without the commitment to buy! You can try a month of Rocksbox free with the code: BYBMGXOXO. Let me know if you give it a whirl!

When I ordered this peplum from Old Navy I was all excited because I have LOVED their sleeveless peplums. When I got it in the mail, it was creased from its folds, so I put it directly in the wash. When I put it on, I was kind of disappointed with its length, but I reallllly wanted to wear it. I pulled out the plum longer tee I had from Charming Charlie, layered them, and I think it works. I'm still kind of bummed that the top is just a little too short for my liking, but discovering I can layer it with an extender makes for a whole different look.

The scarf is one I've had for a while. It's something I made a few years ago with some fabric I picked up. Can't go wrong with leopard print in my mind!

Here are a couple other ways I've worn my leopard scarf:
