Showing Your Cat Some Love for the Holidays

We are so thrilled to have our cat, Toby, back with us for his first Christmas in a few years. He was living at my parents' house when the babies were small, but now that the babies are big enough, he's joined our family again this summer. I wanted to make this Christmas special for him.

He puts up with so much from our kiddos and definitely deserves a little treat this holiday season!

I went shopping at Target to pick up some great Purina goodies for the day to day and to help make him a Christmas stocking! You can shop at Target for your pets, too!

Starting the week of December 4, 2016, Target will have an exclusive coupon to save $10 off a $40 purchase of Purina products. To get it, text PETS10 to 827438. (Note: Data and messaging fees may apply and vary based on individual mobile carrier. Not all mobile carriers and plans may support the text coupon offer system.)

Target is such a wonderful place to shop for Toby. They have all that we need plus more. On this trip, I picked up his Purina Friskies Cat Food along with some things to fill his Christmas stocking!

All the Purina goodies can be found in the cat pet aisles at Target.

When I got home, I unloaded the car. Toby definitely had to check out my haul! Then, I went to work assembling his stocking.

First, I started out with the stocking. If you know me, you know I love buffalo plaid, so I just had to get this one for Toby.

Next I added in an ornament for our tree. The only other cat ornament we have is his first Christmas with us when he was a kitten, so it was due time for a new one to celebrate the year he returned to us.

Then, I added in some fun little toys.

I just had to stick some Purina Whisker Lickin's treats in there, too.

Last, I added in some of the Fancy Feast cat food. As a child, we fed our cat dry food but always gave them a little something extra tasty for the holidays, and I love to carry on that tradition.

Getting this all put together now will be one less thing I have to worry about as Christmas gets closer. And truly, Toby puts up with a lot from our boys, so he totally deserves some extra loving this time of year.

How do you treat your pet for the holidays? Don't forget to head to Target to stock up on Purina items for your cat or dog with the $10 off $40 text coupon the week of December 4th!
