Yay Friday! Summer is here for our family, so every day feels like the weekend. Russ and I call summer #endlessweekend as a matter of fact! Hope your week was as fantastic as ours! Here are five highlights from the week!
{ONE}
Our new house has a bit more closet space than I'm used to. I'm still figuring out how to best utilize it. The front coat closet had become quite cluttered. I should have done a before picture, but I removed the three maternity coats, some things that needed donated, and added a few more bins. It looks a ton better, though you have to take my word for it.
{TWO}
We visited our local garden center and picked up a couple pepper plants and a tomato plant as well as this nice planter. This is a huge step back from the full garden we have done in years past, but this summer we need simple. We also have a few sunflowers planted in the yard, so the boys will enjoy watching them grow, too!
{THREE}
I've pondered and pondered methods on how to add a little devotion to our day in a way that won't fall apart or be forgotten. We are very good at sitting down for dinner together each night, and this devotional was hiding on the boys' bookshelf. I pulled it out and stuck it on the kitchen table. We've gone 12 days with reading it at dinner, so I call that a win. It's short and to the point so Henry can understand it. It's meaningful and ends with a prayer. I love it!
{FOUR}
One thing I really want to get back into is my creative side and also figuring out how to nurture that in our family. A friend gifted me this book. I'm only on chapter two, but I love it. One quote that really stuck with me from chapter 1 was, "Nurturing your creative spirit will not only bring more peace, satisfaction, and joy in your life and the lives of those around you, but it will also serve as a guide and model for your children on finding their creative selves."
{FIVE}
I'm having a Jamberry Mystery Hostess Party! Any purchase you make through the party enters you in a drawing to win all the hostess rewards for the entire party! Head over here to join!
Have a fabulous weekend, friends!
