Lessons in Fashion:
a sporadic series where I share little tips with you that help make my wardrobe stretch.
Today's Lesson:
Sequins are not just for going out!
When I purchased this sequin top at a thrift shop, I honestly had no idea how much I would love it. I just bought it because it was cute, cheap, and I didn't have anything like it. When I chose it as one of my pieces in the Summer Remix Challenge, I had to be creative. Today I'm going to share three ways I styled my sequin top, though there are many more ways.
During the remix, I was really stretched. One day I felt like I'd pretty much exhausted all my options, and then I came up with this! Simple, pretty, yet comfy enough to go hang out with some mommy friends and our kiddos. My flip flops have a metallic strap, which I think goes well.

This is a work appropriate look in my opinion, or it could easily be something to wear out. I went pretty basic on the pants and blazer so the sequin top was the star of the show. My metallic wedges aren't a match for the color of the top, but I feel that they still work.

I would consider this a date night outfit. I paired the top with my favorite skirt and the same wedges. I added a couple simple bangles. One thing that I really realize about this top is that accessories can kind of take a back seat when I wear it.
This sequin top is from Loft, though I found it at Goodwill. Here are a few options that are currently for sale:
Forever 21 Nordstrom Kohls J Crew Factory

Do you have a sequin top? If so, how do you style it? I'd love to see!
