This month's Ipsy bag was much better than last months. I was so unhappy with last month's bag that I didn't even blog about it. I knew I should give it another chance though, since June's bag was so great. As usual, there were five items in the bag along with the zipper pouch. The zipper pouch got a little crumpled in shipping, so I'm not a huge fan of it, but the color and pattern are cute. Here's what I got!
{ONE}
Coastal Scents Forever Blush Sample Duo - I was happy to see a blush, though I am kind of picky about blush. See, I've been wearing the same Clinique blush for 2+ years. It'll be hard to find something to replace it, and this definitely won't. The color on the left is too brownish/orange and the color on the right is just too bright for me. I might give the color on the left a try as eye shadow though. (full-sized blush retails for $7.95)
{TWO}
Jersey Shore Sun Mongongo Lip Conditioner - I am a chaptick girl, so I was happy to see this in the bag. I opened it and put it on immediately. It had a nice smooth texture. I'll probably throw it in my desk at school. (retails for $5.50)
{THREE}
J Cat Beauty Flying Solo Eye Shadow (color: Half Naked) - I really like neutral shadows, so I was happy to get this one. It is a great size and probably my favorite part....
is that the bottom opens up! There's a little mirror and shadow brush down there. I do admit that I like using a shadow brush that's actually a brush and not a foam tip, so I probably won't use this one much, but I love that it's there if I need it in a pinch! (retails for 2.99)
{FOUR}
Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk - I tried it out on Saturday and it was nice. It has a bit more powerful spray than others I've tried. The scent was pleasant and not overpowering. (full size retails for $19.50)
{FIVE}
Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil (color: Plushie) - I don't wear eye liner a lot, but the only color I have in my make up bag currently is a brown. This is a purple color, so I'm excited to try something new. When I tried it on my hand, it went on very smoothly. It's a little bold for my day-to-day make up, but I'm willing to give it a try. (full size retails for $20)
Here are all the colors on my hand (from left to right): two blushes, eye shadow, and liner. I think you can see how I might feel the blushes are a little bold, but I like the other two colors a lot.
