Another Darby Smart tutorial coming at ya! I won one of their Facebook
giveaways, and they sent me this wonderful box. I feel sometimes like
they just read my mind, because this is something I've wanted to do for a
while now. I feel like I say that about everything they send me,
though. LOVE them!
I'm not the best in the lines painter. I think if I did this again, I may use painter's tape. I did use a q-tip to do a little clean up, though. I did one coat of paint, and let it dry for about 20 minutes.
Then, another coat. They had to dry 24 hours before baking.
The next day, I put them in the cold oven (yes, it needs cleaned, I know). Then, turned it on to 300*.
The whole purpose of baking them is that the paint really sets and they should be food friendly. They baked for 35 minutes, then cooled in the oven.
That's it! Super simple again, Darby Smart, and I love that.
I don't anticipate having any fine dining parties anytime soon, but they're still fun for every day use! I still have some chalkboard paint left, so I'm sure I'll do this to a few other things.
Have you entered my giveaway for an imperfectly beautiful Toms bag? It ends Saturday night!
Linking up with Be.You.Tiful.
